Welcome to my blog! My name is Lexi Hankenson. My blog is literally just going to be about three different actors I like and why I like them. I am going to include some of their accomplished works, and projects they are currently working on. I'm writing about this because I am deeply passionate about the films/shows I see and I am very excited to have an outlet to talk about them. I have a very long list of films that I am absolutely in love with right now, and a similarly extensive list of TV shows. 


I am a sophomore this year and I am most heavily involved in theatre and academics. My favorite thing to do is be with my friends, who I absolutely adore. They are all incredibly artistically talented, so we love going to artistic locations. I myself am not incredibly artistically talented, but the art medium I appreciate most is film. My favorite movie currently is “La La Land”. I think it is absolutely gorgeous visually, musically, and emotionally. In an ideal world, I would be a screenwriter for films, or maybe comedy sketch shows. That is an incredibly tough industry, however. Realistically, I am interested in evolutionary biology and social sciences. I honestly have no clue what I’m going to end up studying, but I know I want to go to college. Although it’s not incredibly exotic, I want to move to Milwaukee, Wisconsin when I’m older. I think the city is very comfortable and has a lot to be discovered. Overall though, I am just excited to see where my future takes me!

    I really like your idea but maybe you could include the actors that your blogs are going to be about just to give us some insight on what we can expect later to come. But overall really good job=).

Donald Glover

Donald Glover has become a favorite of mine very quickly recently. He has an incredible range of talents that he seems to be fearless in exploring. I got to know him a while back in Community. He played Troy who was a really nerdy, funny, and childish (ha). The character was easily my favorite in the show and it was a great springboard to the rest of his career. He had a few spots on “Community” in which he would rap, but they were usually silly and abstract and meant to be comedic. “La Biblioteca” became a smash hit almost immediately.  Whether or not this inspired his career as a rapper, it definitely gave him more incentive to pursue a musical career. He released his first album, Camp in 2011 under the moniker “Childish Gambino”, which was a relatively obscure album that showed a new, interesting, and weirder side to Donald Glover.
